Summertime, and the living is easy…
We’re scaling it back a notch for August’s Reading Challenge, and instead of reading four books this month, we’re going to try two. I might kick things back up to four in future months (especially when we start doling out actual giveaway prizes- hold on, it’s happening soon!), but for now, two it is.
So, for the month of AUGUST, read the reading prompts below, and then choose two books that fit the criteria:
*a book with an ocean, beach, or island setting
*a book where the main character goes on vacation
*a book that features a destination wedding
*a book you’ve been dying to read
*a book that is a “lightweight”- under 200 pages
*a book you would pack in your suitcase on an R&R trip
Here are the books I’ve chosen to read for August:
#1- a book with an ocean, beach, or island setting- Keturah by Lisa T. Bergen. This book is set in the West Indies during the 1700s and features a trio of sisters trying to save their late father’s sugar plantation.
#2- a book you’ve been dying to read- The House on Foster Hill by Jaime Jo Wright. I’ve had this one on my to-be-read list for a while. I don’t normally read suspense, but I’m intrigued by the split timeline in this one- one featuring modern-day widow, Kaine Prescott, and the other, a hundred years earlier, featuring another woman, Ivy Thorpe, caught in the claws of a dangerous murder plot.
So, what are you reading this month? Let me know in the comments down below, or feel free to join the Inspy Fiction Reading Challenge group to discuss!
